Help Ohio organizers protect democracy from federal attacks.

This fund is operated by Movement Voter Fund (MVP), in close consultation with our partners on the ground in Ohio, who have launched Hands Off Ohio, led by the Ohio Democracy Defense Coalition.

Our grantmaking is led by a team of national and state advisors, each with years of experience in local, state, and national organizing, movement building, and civic engagement strategy.

On June 11, 2026, the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security raided the offices of state-based pro-democracy organizations in Ohio and showed up at the homes of organizational leaders.

These raids are part of a widening pattern of targeting civil society organizations, in particular those working to defend free and fair elections.

In close consultation with our Ohio partners on the ground, we created this fund to defend against these attacks and to promote democracy and democratic participation across the state.

For security reasons, we are not publicly sharing the list of grantees at this time.

Money raised through this fund will support organizing, communications, and advocacy to defend and promote democracy and democratic participation in Ohio.

Your dollars will:

• Power a joyful, determined public campaign to protect the freedom to vote and keep Ohioans registering and turning out.
• Resource crisis communications and Know Your Rights trainings to keep organizers and communities safe.
• Keep our partners' organizing programs running — from a voter-registration National Day of Action on June 18, all the way through the last vote is cast and fairly counted.

Yes. We will be posting stories of impact on our blog, as well as in our Annual Reports.
